Overview

What is .guru

The word guru comes from Sanskrit, where it means teacher; in English it came to mean an accomplished expert people turn to. .guru entered the internet’s root in 2013 and is run by Binky Moon, LLC; it is a short word that’s easy to say in most languages.

.guru suits private tutors, consultants and content creators who explain a field they master, from math to coding to cooking to accounting. A name like ustaz-nabil.guru says at first sight that Ustaz Nabil is the one his students and their parents turn to in his subject.

With us the first year comes with a big offer, and the renewal costs several times as much. The word is a little playful, so some formal clients may not see it as serious, and those who don’t know English may not know its meaning. If your students are in Kuwait, register your name in .com too, as that is what parents type when they forget the extension.
