Overview
What is .healthcare
The word healthcare means health care, and it’s broader than the clinic: it covers hospitals, medical centers, home nursing, laboratories and any service concerned with people’s health. .healthcare entered the internet’s root in 2014 as a new generic extension; it is run by Binky Moon, LLC and supports names in Arabic and DNSSEC signing.
Visitors read it as a statement of health work: whoever holds the address treats or cares for patients. So it suits those who actually provide care, and misleads people if a store or tips site that offers no treatment holds it, however close it is to health.
We have a first-year offer, but the renewal is among the most expensive extensions we sell. The word is long and needs spelling out on the phone, and many people know it less well than .com, so register with it a short name in .com or .co that’s easy to say and leads to it.

Who it suits
For your field: is .healthcare the best fit?
Every field has an extension that says something about it. Here is what .healthcare says in each, and which extension completes it.
A hospital or medical center
Excellent · The first choice
It says you provide care in all its departments, and .com completes it for those who type your name without an extension.
Register it with.healthcare.com
Home care in Kuwait
Good · A good fit with .com
It states your work clearly, and your city’s name before it tells the patient’s family you’re close to them; .com serves those who type your name out of habit.
Register it with.com.healthcare
A medical laboratory
Good · A good fit
It says you’re part of care, and the lab’s name before it states its specialty.
Register it with.healthcare.science
A single doctor’s clinic
Good · .clinic is more precise
For a small clinic .clinic is shorter and more precise, and .healthcare fits if it grows into a center.
Register it with.clinic.healthcare
A non-profit health organization
Good · A good fit
It states its field, and .org says it’s not for profit.
Register it with.healthcare.org
A health supplies store
Consider another · Consider .store
Health care promises treatment the store doesn’t provide; a trade extension is more honest with your customer.
Register it with.store.com
