Overview

What is .company

company is an English word for a business firm, understood by anyone who deals with business. It suits a company of any size, an engineering office, a contractor or a small factory, that wants an address read the way people say it: the company’s name, then the word company.

.company entered the internet’s root in 2013, is run by Binky Moon, LLC, and supports DNSSEC signing and names in Arabic letters. With us its price starts with a small first-year offer and renewal costs a little more, so the difference between the first year and those after it is hardly worth mentioning.

It is longer than .com and less widespread, so your customer may type .com out of habit. Register your name in .com if it’s free, and make .company your public address if it reads more clearly with your company’s name, and point both to the same site.

Tips

Before you register

  1. 1Don’t repeat the word company in the nameriyadh-company.company is a repetition that lengthens the name; the extension says the word for you.
  2. 2Your company’s name in Arabic too.company takes names in Arabic letters, so register your company’s name as your customer in Saudi Arabia writes it.
  3. 3A short name, read as it’s writtenIf it needs spelling out on the phone, it’s too long or too complicated.
  4. 4No digits or hyphens that need explainingEvery hyphen or digit has to be said, and what has to be said gets forgotten.
  5. 5Renew automatically, or register for yearsUp to 10 years at once, so you never miss a date.
  6. 6Make sure the name isn’t someone else’s trademarkA registered trademark’s owner can recover the name from whoever registered it first.

After expiry the website and email stop, and you can renew in the first eight days at the regular renewal price; from day 10 it may go to auction.
