Overview

What is .holdings

holdings is an English word for possessions and stakes, and in business it appears in the names of holding companies: a company that owns stakes in other companies and manages them. So its audience is narrow and specific: holding companies, investment management offices, and families that gather their businesses under one name.

.holdings entered the internet’s root in 2013, is run by Binky Moon, LLC, and supports DNSSEC signing and names in Arabic letters. With us its price is the same for the first year and every renewal, but it is higher than .group and .company, so it’s an extension for those who know why they choose it.

Because it is specialized, most people don’t know what its word means, and an ordinary customer may pause at it. It suits whoever addresses investors, partners and banks; the subsidiaries that sell to the public need extensions closer to them, which the customer understands without asking what they mean.

Who it suits

For your field: is .holdings the best fit?

Every field has an extension that says something about it. Here is what .holdings says in each, and which extension completes it.

  • A holding company

    Excellent · The first choice

The same word that’s in your company’s name, so an investor knows what you are before opening the site.

    Register it with.holdings.com

  • A family’s several businesses

    Good · A good fit

The family’s name with .holdings gathers its businesses under one umbrella; .group is an alternative closer to people.

    Register it with.holdings.group

  • A holding company in the UAE

Good · A good fit with .com

.holdings for investors and banks, and .com for your partners and customers in the UAE, who type it out of habit.

    Register it with.holdings.com

  • Investment management

    Good · A good fit

It says you own and manage; if your work is managing other people’s money, .investments is clearer.

    Register it with.holdings.investments

  • A company selling to people

    Consider another · Consider .com

The ordinary customer doesn’t know the word; .com or .store is closer to them.

    Register it with.com.store

  • A small startup

    Consider another · Consider .company

.holdings suggests a size you haven’t reached yet; .company or .co is truer to your start.

    Register it with.company.co

What it does for you

  • Email for investors

investors@manar-dubai.holdings is an address fit for an annual report or a letter to a bank.

  • A cost you know ahead

One price every year, so you know the name’s cost at every coming renewal.

And where its value shows

A name fit for a financial document.

In letters to banks

The address of a body, not a person.
