Overview

What is .network

.network entered the internet’s root in 2014, and its name is the word network. It has two meanings: the technical network that connects devices, offices and cities, and the human network that gathers the people of a trade or a hobby. So it suits an internet provider and a network engineer, as well as a professional circle or an association.

It asks for no documents, and it supports names in Arabic and DNSSEC signing. It says in the full word what .net abbreviates, and short words are easier to find in it than in .net and .com, so you find your company’s or your association’s name as it is.

The first-year offer doesn’t last: renewal costs much more, so count its cost over years. Its word is longer than .net and less familiar to the general public, and it says nothing about your country; so register the same name in .net too: shorter, and better known to your subscribers in the UAE.

Who it suits

For your field: is .network the best fit?

Every field has an extension that says something about it. Here is what .network says in each, and which extension completes it.

  • An internet or network provider

    Excellent · The first choice

The word says what you build and run, so your customer understands it with no explaining.

    Register it with.network.net

  • An office network installer in the UAE

Good · A good fit with .com

Your city’s name before .network tells office owners you’re close by, and .com is for those who type it out of habit.

    Register it with.com.network

  • A professional circle or association

    Good · A good fit

The word’s second meaning: a network of people brought together by one line of work.

    Register it with.network.org

  • A freelance network engineer

    Good · A good fit

Your name in a word that says your specialty; .me for your personal page.

    Register it with.network.me

  • A hosting or server company

    Good · A good fit

It says you build the infrastructure; .host says you host on it.

    Register it with.network.host

    Consider another · Consider .store

A network doesn’t tell a buyer what you sell; .store or .com is clearer.

After expiry the website and email stop, and you can renew in the first eight days at the regular renewal price; from day 10 it may go to auction.
