Overview
What is .toys
.toys is the plural of the English word toy. It speaks to children’s toy stores and toymakers, to those who sell educational, wooden and handmade toys, and to those who write for parents about choosing them. It was added to the internet’s root in 2014, and IANA’s record names Binky Moon, LLC as the body responsible for it.
A short word parents know, it says what the store sells with no explaining, and suits holiday and seasonal gifts. It supports names in Arabic, so the store can register its name as the neighborhood’s children know it, and it supports DNSSEC signing.
We have an offer for its first year, and renewal costs more. It doesn’t say on its own that you’re a store taking orders, so make the checkout clear; and it is among the less common extensions, so it may look new to some parents.
