08

What are cookies

In plain languageA small text file your browser stores from our site, which is read on your later visits.

We use cookies on this website (www.Illevante.com). A cookie is a text file that is sent with the pages of this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer, tablet and/or mobile phone. The information stored in it can be retrieved and sent to our servers or to the servers of the relevant third parties during any future visit.

09

Why Illevante uses cookies

In plain languageFour categories: necessary cookies always run; preferences, statistics and marketing run only with your consent to each one.

We divide cookies and similar browser storage (such as local storage) into four categories. Only the necessary category runs without your consent, because the site cannot work without it; the other three categories are used only after your explicit consent to each of them.

Necessary cookies

They keep the site working and secure, for example by saving your choice in the cookie notice, and by protecting the search and check tools from bots through the Google reCAPTCHA service. They are not used to track you, and they do not need your consent. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the site (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR).

Preference cookies

They remember your choices, such as the site’s language, so that you find it as you left it on your next visit. They run only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

Statistics cookies

They help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate figures that do not identify you, such as Google Analytics when we use it. They run only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). When we use Google Analytics, we are bound by a data processing agreement with Google that does not allow it to share the data it collects or use it for its other services, although Google may pass the information to third parties where the law requires it to do so or where those parties process it on Google’s behalf.

Marketing cookies

They measure the results of our ads, and allow ads that match your interests to be shown on other sites. They run only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR).

Google Consent Mode (Consent Mode v2)

Before any Google tool loads, we tell it that all non-essential categories are denied, then update this according to your choice as soon as you make it. So Google’s measurement and advertising tools do not load before you consent to their category, and if you accept one category and reject another, they set only the cookies of the category you accepted.

10

List of cookies on our website

In plain languageA list kept up to date by an automatic scan of the site: each cookie with its name, provider, purpose, duration and category, and the external services our pages connect to.

We set some cookies ourselves, and third parties set others when they act on our behalf. This list is prepared automatically: a regular scan visits the site’s pages and records everything stored in the browser and every external address the pages connect to, then classifies each item into its category, so the list stays in line with what the site actually does.

Among the external services is the Trustpilot review button at the bottom of every page: it places no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, but Trustpilot receives your IP address when it loads, so we list it in the necessary category with the services that deliver the page’s content. The details are in item 10 of “What categories of data do we collect?” in the privacy policy.

This list updates automatically from a scan that visits the site’s pages and records everything kept in the browser. Last scan: October 17, 2026, covering 42 pages.

Your consent and how to change it

In plain languageYou choose in a notice shown on your first visit, rejecting is as easy as accepting, and you can change or withdraw your choice whenever you like from the foot of any page.

On your first visit a notice appears in which you choose “Accept all”, “Reject non-essential”, or customize the categories one by one, and rejecting is just as easy as accepting. Until you choose, only necessary cookies are used. The notice appears in Arabic or English, and you choose its language in the notice itself.

We keep your choice for twelve months in the necessary cookie illevante-consent, and ask you again when they have passed, or sooner if we add new non-essential cookies or services to the site.

To prove your consent, we record each choice in the consent log: the consent ID shown below, the categories you chose, the version of the cookie list you agreed to, the language of the notice, and the time of the choice. We do not record your IP address or any other data that identifies you in it, and we keep it for as long as it is needed to prove consent.

You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time from “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page, or from here. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of what came before it; when you withdraw, we delete whatever cookies of the rejected categories can be deleted on our site’s domain, while third-party cookies stored on their own domains can be deleted from your browser settings.

12

Deleting cookies

In plain languageMost cookies expire automatically, and you can delete them yourself from your browser whenever you like.

Most cookies have an expiry date, which means they expire automatically after a certain period and no longer record any data from your visit to the site. You can also choose to delete cookies manually before their expiry date. Please refer to your browser’s user guide for more information.

13

Third-party websites

In plain languageThis statement does not apply to external sites linked from ours, so read their statements before using them.

This Privacy and Cookie Statement does not apply to third-party websites linked to this website. We cannot guarantee that these third parties will handle your personal data in a reliable or secure way. We therefore recommend that you read those websites’ privacy and cookie statements before using them.

14

Newsletter

In plain languageWe send a monthly newsletter only to those who agreed to it, and every issue has an unsubscribe link.

We send an email newsletter once a month, with news about our services and technical tips, and we send offers in separate emails to those who chose them when subscribing. We send none of them without the consent of the address’s owner, which we verify with double opt-in: the subscription starts only after the confirmation button in the email we send is pressed. Every email contains an unsubscribe link that removes the address from our lists.

15

Objecting to direct marketing

In plain languageYou can object to direct marketing whenever you like: with the unsubscribe link in every email, with a support ticket, or at data-protection@illevante.com.

You have the absolute right to object to direct marketing. Every newsletter contains a link that lets you unsubscribe. If you wish to file a complaint about direct marketing, you can open a support ticket or send an email to data-protection@illevante.com, stating the person to whom the request relates.

16

What are your rights

In plain languageYou may know what we hold about you, access, correct and delete it, and withdraw your consent or object.

You have the following rights:

  • to receive an explanation of the personal data we hold and what we do with it;
  • to access the personal data of yours that we hold;
  • to correct errors in your personal data;
  • to remove (outdated) personal data;
  • to restrict the processing of your data;
  • to transfer your data to another party in a structured, machine-readable format;
  • to withdraw consent;
  • to object to a particular use of data.
17

Changes to the Privacy and Cookie Statement

In plain languageWe may amend this statement, so review it from time to time; we may ask you to prove your identity before meeting requests to access your data.

We are entitled to make changes to this Privacy and Cookie Statement. You are advised to review this statement regularly so that you stay aware of such changes.

To prevent misuse, we may ask you to prove your identity appropriately. Where you request access to personal data linked to a cookie, it is enough to give your consent ID shown in the section “Your consent and how to change it” above.
