Before you choose a name

Six rules Levi weighs every suggestion by, and that help with any name you have in mind.

01

Write it as you say it

If you need to spell the name out on the phone, look for a simpler one.

bustan.storeSaid in a second
02

A hyphen is read, not heard

It separates the words for the eye, but whoever hears your name forgets it.

03

Two names, one site

A name in .com for your customers in Egypt and those looking for you from abroad, who type it without thinking, and another in an extension that tells your business, both opening your site.

bustanalsahel.shopSays you sell
04

Renewal before the offer

You pay the first year once and the renewal every year: a .shop name is $6 in its first year, then $54.

narenj.shopThen $54 a year
05

An extension that finishes the meaning

.gift for those who give, .delivery for those who deliver, and the name before it stays short.

bustan.giftA gift from the orchard
06

A name that leaves you room

If you sell citrus today and oil and honey tomorrow, the orchard’s name is wider than the fruit’s.

  • The site checks every name with its extension’s registry the moment it’s suggested, so “Free” only shows on a name that isn’t registered. But checking doesn’t reserve it, and someone may get there before you finish your order, so don’t wait long to register the one you like.

  • No. Levi suggests and checks only. You register the name you choose in the client area, as on the domain registration page.

  • Yes, suggesting names and checking them is free, and you only pay when you register a name.

  • Some extensions are offered at a lower price in their first year, then renew at their usual price. So the tool shows both prices, and “Compare what you saved” counts five years, so you choose by what you’ll really pay.

  • .com is the one your customers type without thinking, so it suits a name you’ll print and say aloud. A newer extension such as .store or .online tells your business and is often easier to find free, but look at its renewal price before you register.

  • Your business description and answers are sent to Claude, the AI model by Anthropic that Levi runs on, to suggest names, and we don’t keep the conversation on our servers. So don’t write personal data it doesn’t need; the privacy policy has the details.
