Overview

What is .space

.space entered the internet’s root in 2014, and its name is the word space, which has two meanings: room or a place, and outer space. So it suits anyone who has a place where they welcome people, such as a coworking space, a studio or a hall, and anyone who wants a space online to show their work.

It asks for no documents, and it supports names in Arabic and DNSSEC signing. Its word is short and understood in every language, and short names are easier to find in it than in .com, so you find your studio’s or your place’s name as people know it, without changing it.

But the first-year offer doesn’t last: renewal costs much more, so count its cost over years before you register. Its broad meaning doesn’t name your field precisely, so let the name do it; and it says nothing about your country, so put your place’s address and city on the first page.
